Tarot Deck III - The Moon

A tarot deck is an unusual item. Some are mere replica’s that belong to fortune tellers and con men, some provide a seeker with genuine answers. Either way, there is something about them that makes people… uncomfortable. It is said that the strongest decks are ones made by the one who plans to use it, designing each card based on what they believe best represents each archetype. The cards can be difficult, unruly.

Their answers may be unclear, or seem like they have no bearing on the question asked of them. But the answers they give always become clear in time.

Eighteenth amongst the order of Major Arcana in a tarot deck, the Moon is a card of illusion and deception. In the presence of the Moon, nothing is as it appears to be. Perhaps the Moon wishes to impart a misunderstanding on the part of the seeker, or a truth the seeker cannot admit to themselves.

When pulled in the upright position, the Moon whispers the truth beneath the illusion, fear, anxiety, insecurity, subconscious, intuition, uncertainty, confusion, complexity, secrets, and the unconscious mind. Reversed, the Moon promises a release of fear, of unhappiness, confusion, fear, deception, blackmail, anxiety, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation.

The Moon revels clarity and understanding to those willing to heed it's call.
