Tarot Deck IV - The Tower
A tarot deck is an unusual item. Some are mere replica’s that belong to fortune tellers and con men, some provide a seeker with genuine answers. Either way, there is something about them that makes people… uncomfortable. It is said that the strongest decks are ones made by the one who plans to use it, designing each card based on what they believe best represents each archetype. The cards can be difficult, unruly.
Their answers may be unclear, or seem like they have no bearing on the question asked of them. But the answers they give always become clear in time.
The Tower is a powerful card. An agent of change, the sixteenth Major Arcana leaves danger, crises, destruction, and liberation as it's calling card. It is associated with sudden unforeseen changes.
Upright, the Tower warns of the oncoming storm; Disaster, upheaval, sudden brutal change, self-distrust, revelation, destruction, trauma, chaos, adversity, and distress await the seeker who comes face to face with this card. There is also hope when meeting the Tower. Reversed, the Tower portends an avoidance of disaster, of delaying the inevitable. But it also warns against fearing or resisting the oncoming change. Fate waits for no one.
