Crew of the Kraken's Wake

The Crew, in order of their appearance:
- First Mate Raz’jin
- Raz’jin is a specialist in keeping the crew’s morale high by providing supervision and encouragement. Discipline is also supposed to be on that list, but Raz is very fond of his drink, his women, and his “special cigars”. So much so that under his leadership, he nearly bankrupted the whole crew and lost the ship to loan sharks in Booty Bay until Vi got it back. It took some time, but he’s comfortable with the demotion now; leaves more time for his pleasure pursuits... So much so that no one has seen or heard from him in years. Bosun Go’randa has overtaken most of his responsibilities in his absence.
- Captain Vivian Heartsorrow
- Vivian is the Captain of the Kraken’s Wake, but she wasn’t always. When the Salty Swabbers’ first rose as the new leaders of the crew, it was Raz’jin that was first demarked as Captain, with Vivian as his first mate. However, his lack of discipline and motivation put the ship and crew into one too many sticky situations, and the fastest way to incur a mutiny on a pirate ship is not paying said crew. This is ultimately how Vivian wrested control, and she has never missed a payday since.
- “Cook" Mace McDalton
- Mason’s true talent revolves around fist weapons, and after a grizzled old veteran mumbled “that kid’s fists hit like a mace”, nobody called him anything else. One of the newer crew members to stay on the ship, Mace, isn’t really the ship's cook, not officially anyway. The position of cook on The Kraken’s Wake is something of a cursed post; no one who takes up the role (willingly or by force) lasts very long. Picked up from a raid on the Southsea Freebooters, he decided to find a new use for his hands other than fighting, and wound up in the kitchen for his trouble. For that brave decision, Mason has garnered a lot of respect from the crew, much to the chagrin of the other officers... Rumors on board say that Mace and Serena are in a relationship, but then again, Mace is so dense it’s hard to see what she would find attractive in him. Any port in a storm, perhaps?
- Surgeon Serena, the Siren
- Also known as The Siren, Serena is responsible for overseeing sanitation, tending to injuries, and keeping illnesses from spreading across the ship. Rather than sleep in the Officer’s Cabin, Serena sleeps in one of the Guest Cabins closest to her medic station. A dancer that became a pirate, then a void elf, and finally a mistweaver, Serena relies on the swiftness of the ship to escape her past... Rumors on board say that Serena and Mace are in a relationship, but how they would find the time is anyone guess. Serena’s always doing this or that for the Captain on shore. Maybe that’s why she asks the cook to run resupply with her?
