Last Time on Emberheart Z: Battle on the Mogu Terrace

The Expedition went to an unearthed mogu terrace covered in spiders. Though the terrace was filled with ancient riches and statues, the Grimweb brood had webs coated in a paralytic oil. Though the Expedition managed to fend off the first spider, it was clear they were facing a whole nest. One of the terrace’s statues held a jade piece that, when struck, emitted a harmonic tone that drove off the spiders around it. The jade is now in the vault, waiting for anyone to study it.

They also found members of the Grimgold company covered in webs. As it turns out, Belagore Grimgold suckered a couple of adventurers into helping him, only to ditch them to the spiders so he could have all the wealth and power. He even made a mind-control cap to take control of the Grimweb Matriarch, a spider the size of at least two taurens stacked on top of each other. A fierce battle raged, with highlights including the dwarf being shot in the arm and gut, everyone getting covered in thousands of baby spiders, and using the jade to drive off the swarm. Though Belagore was knocked off and the cap broken, he managed to escape with his life while the Matriarch went into a berserker rage and managed to down both Zugtu and Merada.

Thanks to Bazrokh Firestep going into a rage of his own and killing the Matriarch, the party managed to depart with a wealth of jade, gold, and ancient relics valued at roughly 5,000 gold. However, Grimgold remains at large.
